In the Summer of 2008, the Dubai government announced the earmark of $817 million on building the world’s largest arch bridge. The bridge will be 670 feet tall and one mile in length and is scheduled to be completed sometime in 2012.

As of Dubai doesn’t already have the biggest and best of everything, it decided to add this huge piece of artwork in its private Gallery. This bridge will be taller that the George Washington Bridge (604 feet) but just short of San Francisco's existing Golden Gate Bridge at 746 feet.

The design of the Dubai arch bridge is definitely futuristic and a further testament to Dubai’s plans to continue to pave the road of modern day development forward. Nothing is stopping this beast from growing. The bridge was designed by NY architecture firm Foxfowle and will be the largest and tallest arch bridge in the world once completed. Construction begins in the summer of 2008 is due to wrap up in 2012.
